Pensioner year-end sessions - let's meet again

Pre-Covid, we had a countrywide roadshow to meet with our retired members to inform them about the changes for the year ahead. Some of these sessions were well attended, while others were more intimate. During the pandemic we had to put these meetings on hold due to the known reasons.

We believe the time has come to try and meet again! We will still offer two virtual sessions for members that prefer attending from the comfort of their home, especially if they live in more remote areas. If you live close to the below venues, we would love to see you again.

You will have noticed that we have not yet set up meetings at all the previous venues. Some venues have closed down during Covid; some meetings were very poorly attended before the pandemic. To evaluate our members' interest to participate, we started by setting dates for meetings at venues where we had better attendance in the past.

The following meeting dates and venues are not set in stone. If we don't receive enough positive responses, we reserve the right to cancel these meetings and would then ask members that RSVPed to attend one of the virtual meetings instead. If the responses exceed our expectations, we can always add another date or place - it's all up to you, the members. Please RSVP to your Client Liaison Officer as soon as possible, but no later than the dates indicated below for us to determine if we can confirm these meetings or not. Rest assured that all Covid measures and protocols will be in place and that we will not crowd too many members in one meeting room. Our traditional lucky draw will take place in all our meetings.

VIRTUAL MEETINGS

No matter which region you are from, you can attend either of the virtual meetings. Please RSVP by 28 October 2022 to any of the below Client Liaison Officers indicating your preferred date; name and surname; membership number; cell phone number; and email address. We will then send you a link to the presentation with information how to access it, two days before the meeting. All you need is a device with an internet connection, a web browser and approximately 1 GB of data.

Members who attended the Houghton and Soweto meetings in the past, please join us in Randburg this year. If we see enough interest in this presentation, we will gladly meet you in Houghton and Soweto again next year.
